Blog #8
I have learned a lot from the web design project. One skill I learned was how to embed a calendar, using Google. I remember using similar skills during my last portfolio project, when I connected my twitter to my bogspot, so it kind of reminded me of that. Overall, it was a bit challenging, since I haven't had experience creating a website. However, I can see skills like this being highly beneficial in my future career when I would like to create a website.
The AI tools I primarily use are Siri and Alexa. I don't use these every day, especially Alexa. I use Siri to answer questions, make calls, and send messages for me when I'm driving. Another form of AI I've used is Snapchat AI, but I've only used it when it first came out and I just liked to have conversations with it. I'm mainly motivated to use Siri, but not all the time.
I haven't used Chat GPT in any of my classes, but I have used it for fun once. I first knew about it when my late boyfriend showed it to me and told me that it could create a written response about anything, if you give it a topic and a word count. So, I thought it was so cool that I tested it out, giving it a random topic and a word count. As for AI chatbots, I've learned that using them improves mental health among teens and young adults, because they can use it to vent. I've definitely learned a lot about AI this year, so this has broadened my perspective greatly. However, I notice that some students may take advantage of this and use it to cheat on assignments, so if I were a teacher, I would limit the usage of these devices for assignments and penatilize anyone who does.
AI tools for sure, can enhance your productivity because it makes it easier to multitask, especially when driving. Whenever I think about reading or sending a text while driving, I can ask Siri to read and answer them for me, rather than having to put myself and others at risk. For my teaching job, I can see myself using AI tools to create a lesson plan, especially when I run out of ideas for some.
Hi Haylie! I thought your website was really cute. I think the pictures were aesthetically pleasing and all of your tabs were formatted pretty well. The only suggestion I have could be for the home page. Maybe making the pictures a collage or have some more together so that the pictures are within good proximity of each other.
ReplyDeleteHi Haylie!! I really like your website, I think overall it is very e=aesthetically pleasing. I liked the way you used a lot of the space with pictures, texts, and lists. Everything seems easy to find which was nice and the google calendar was also very new to me but Im glad we figured it out and know how to do it now. Great work.
