My experience using Diigo was interesting to say the least. It was difficult to use at first, but after watching the tutorials, I was able to get my assignment done. The only problem I still have with it is that I couldn't share the sticky notes I write. I know which button to press and where it is, but for some reason, it doesn't work for me. Once I start using this more, it will grow on me.
My experience blogging in this class has been great. It's a pretty unique idea for a class assignment, especially when we are prompted to talk about opinions and experiences. This allows me to express what I've learned and reflect on that knowledge. On Blogger/Blogspot, I familiarized myself with the "Layouts" tab and learned how to add things to the sidebar there.
An interesting Web 2.0 tool that I might use when teaching is IXL. I've used it in my math class from 7-8th grade, but it can be used for all subjects. Basically, you select a grade level, subject and section, and it gives you practice problems. My teachers mainly used it for classwork and homework assignments, and assign us certain sections to complete. In order to get full credit, we would have to answer questions until we got at least on 80%. Since it helped me really understand the subject, I think its a great idea to use this in my future classroom.
