For the majority of my life at school, I've used online applications, but the one I've used the most by far was Microsoft Word! All of my teachers from K12 up until now have made me use Word. So with time, I've gotten used to and comfortable with it. It's gotten to the point where if I had to choose what application I had to use for a writing assignment, I would use Word. With all the experience I've had with it, it's easy to maneuver.

According to the ISTE standards for educators, there are different levels of learners and educators. They go from the least to most involved in the learning process. As this is my first time hearing about this, I have a ton of questions. The first question is that since we are taking an education course, would we read the section for learners or educators?

Digital natives are people who are born when digital technology was already around. Instead of using old fashioned technology such as rotary phones and landlines, they use portable phones and computers. Those who grew up using the older technologies have to adapt to the newer forms of technology. Some people, like my parents, adapted to it beautifully and normally have no problem using it, but even the way they use it is different from digital natives. I've noticed that teaachers who were not as familiar with technology would more likely have trouble working the projector. Because of mishaps like this, the lesson would be pushed back, and it would lead us to getting behind on the material. Assuming that there will be newer technologies in the future and that I might be a teacher, I can see a similar problem happening in my classroom. In these cases, I know the most I can do is keep a positive attitude and take reponsibility.
